The kids really loved Sandy Bottom – a great base for a day at the beach.
Sandy Bottom is a gorgeous, spacious (16ft x 10ft) beach hut on Old Hunstanton beach, just a 2-3 minute walk from Sea-Glimpse. It's the perfect spot for making the most of your holiday any time of year!
Kitted out to ensure you maximise your time on the beach, from breakfast 'til sundown, with plenty of seating and space to stretch out, picnic and relax!
Peeping out from behind the marram grass-tufted dunes which skirt the beach, is a cluster of charming mis-matched beach huts, one of which is our own 'Sandy Bottom', available solely to Sea-Glimpse’s guests.
What could be better that heading down to your own private beach hideaway every day with a good book, picnic and bottle of wine?
A place to set up camp for the day; gather with family and friends; a pre-dip changing room; shelter when a storm closes in, or a quiet place to just switch off, rest and relax.
To the little ones, it’s a big beachside den, playhouse, pirate ship, or sandcastle. For young and old, it's a place to rest legs (or paws!).
Whatever you want it to be, Sandy Bottom will make your beach days easier, more relaxed and longer.

WHAT'S IN THE HUT?

Furniture includes two director's chairs, two reclining 'easy' chairs and two fold-up stools. A vintage 1950's kitchen unit, housing an assortment of mugs, plates and cutlery and a large, padded storage bench, which is ideal if anyone needs a lie-down!

For safety reasons, there is no stove. However, we do provide a flask to prepare hot drinks at Sea-Glimpse to enjoy at the hut. In addition, the wonderful Old Town Beach Café (opposite the lifeboat station, a couple of minutes walk away) sells take-away tea, coffee and food, including ice cream and delicious homemade cake (highly recommended!). There is also a cold water tap close by for filling up the dog's bowl, which is provided in the hut.

No day at the beach would be complete without a spot of sandcastle construction and a fiercely contested game of French cricket – Sandy Bottom houses a supply of essential beach paraphernalia, including windbreaks, kites, buckets and spades, a frisbee, pétanque set and fleece blankets (it can get chilly after a dip in the sea... brrr!).
We loved the use of your brilliant beach hut. It was an absolute lifesaver for us with our relentless lads in that heat. Absolutely love that place.

TARIFF
Weekly hire: £115.
Short breaks: £25 per day.

The hire of Sandy Bottom runs from the morning after your arrival at Sea-Glimpse until the evening prior to your departure.
